The IPMA is proud to announce that on Thursday, the 16th of April, the prestigious Research Awards were presented in front of an audience of 100 attendees.
The Gala dinner was formally opened by Mr. Carlos Godfrey, president of ADIPRO (IPMA Member association in Colombia), as the hosting association. We had the honor of welcoming Ms. Brigitte Baptiste, Rector of EAN University, to the opening, and of officially thanking her and her team for providing a wonderful main Conference venue in a modern building of the EAN University.
Professor Ding Ronngui, IPMA Vice President for Research and Publications, as a cohost from the IPMA side, pointed out the history of IPMA Research Awards and the Research Conference, and invited the present audience to apply and submit papers for the upcoming years.
The program had been cohosted by Mónica Ramos, EAN University Director of Events, and Ella, IPMA AI host of the Ceremony.
The IPMA Research awards were handed out by Marija Todorovic, IPMA Global Research Director, and the person responsible for the Research Awards. She informed that IPMA received a high number of outstanding research submissions, and a total of 9 finalists have been selected. Marija pointed out that regardless of the outcome, each of the finalist should take immense pride in their remarkable achievements and the quality of their contributions.
The Award winners were presented as follows:
IPMA Graduated Research Award – Ning Sun – for “Dynamic Value Creation over the Project Life Cycle: A Paradox Perspective”, University College London (UCL), United Kingdom,
IPMA Young Researcher Award – Sara Perić– for “Model of Individual Competencies in Project-Oriented Public Sector Organizations”, University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Serbia
IPMA Global Research Award Winner: Dr Xin Cheng, China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China, with a research paper”Poverty alleviation without returning to poverty: China’s answer to sustainable project management”
IPMA Global Research Achievement Award: Martina Huemann, from University College London (UCL), UK, and Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria – recognized for lifetime contributions to project management research, academia, and practice.

Young Researcher Outstanding Contribution – Keyao (Eden) Li, from Edith Cowan University, Australia, with the research ”A Dynamic Skills Framework for the Future of Project Management in the Digital Era”

Following the research Awards, Vladimir Obradović, IPMA Vice President Finance & Operations, has the honor to announce the winners of last year lonched new IPMA Global Project Management Academic Excellence Recognition.
The winners of this prestigious recognition are:

Vladimir pointed out how prestigious this reward is, and invited the academicians to apply for the next year’s Research Awards cycle, and potentially join us at the stage in Vienna, Austria, a host of the 15th IPMA Research Conference.
After closing the official IPMA Global Research Awards Gala, IPMA President, Mladen Vukomanovic, and IPMA Vice President for projects, Jose Reayes, delivered one more special diploma, the IPMA Delta Certificate. The recipient of the IPMA Delta Certification has been handed to Universidad Mayor de San Andrés, Bolivia, for their outstanding results on an organizational level. The Universidad Mayor de San Andrés from Bolivia represents the first Delta-certified university in the world.

IPMA President, Mladen Vukomanovic, officially closed the conference dinner and expressed his sincere gratitude to IPMA Research Director, Marija Todorovic, and IPMA Research PMO, Vladana Stepanović, for organizing the IPMA Global Research Awards Gala, as well as to the ADIPRO, EAN University, and IPMA team for organizing the successful conference.
