In a year of celebrating the 60th anniversary of IPMA and the 10th anniversary since the Project Excellence Baseline (PEB) was published, the IPMA Awards team introduced new awards and recognition, which further enriched our recognition portfolio.
These will address emerging fields, future-focused achievements, and untapped areas of excellence in the global project management landscape.
New members of the IPMA Global Awards Family
- Sustainability (Yong) Project Manager Award – for the Project Managers who successfully managed projects in a sustainable way and embedded sustainability competencies into their management style.
- The PMO Award recognizes the positive contributions of PMOs to their organizations, their ability to deliver consistent and demonstrable outcomes, and their role in the development of project management capabilities and communities. The award is open to PMOs at the portfolio/enterprise, program, or project level, as well as to individual Heads of PMOs.
- Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Award – The Award focusses on the individual or organisation’s delivery of DEI benefits in the delivery of project management processes and outcomes. It is focussed on DEI impact and outcomes and includes organizational change projects to embed DEI into projects, processes, and the organization.
- Global Project Management Academic Excellence Recognition – recognize and promote global project management academic excellence in advancing the field of project management. Through this annual recognition, honours recent outstanding academic achievements and impactful contributions that shape and influence the professional project management discipline through various subcategories:
- IPMA Global Distinguished Professor
- IPMA Global Distinguished Associate Professor
- IPMA Global Distinguished Assistant Professor
- IPMA Global Distinguished Lecturer
