The IPMA Global Awards Team is pleased to announce the winners of the IPMA Global Individual Awards in the prestigious Agile Leader of the Year 2025 category.
The Agile Leader of the Year Award recognises individuals who demonstrate outstanding agile leadership—showcasing exceptional competence, adaptability, and innovation, regardless of the project’s scale, complexity, or type.
Agile leadership represents a modern approach to project management, centred on flexibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Agile leaders empower their teams, encourage transparency, and foster an environment where innovation and rapid adaptation to change are key. Their focus extends beyond processes and tools — towards people, results, and learning through experience.
Each applicant was thoroughly evaluated by a panel of expert assessors on their leadership and management capabilities, their understanding and application of Project Management and Agile Project Management principles, as well as the impact and value achieved through their projects.
Following a rigorous and highly competitive assessment process, the most exceptional leaders have earned their place as this year’s finalists.
The winners were formally announced during the IPMA Global Awards Gala on 19 September 2025 in Berlin, Germany. The honours were presented by Mr. Mark Patch, IPMA Global Individual Awards Coordinator, and Mr. Kristian Prebanic, IPMA Young Individual Award Coordinator.
