IPMA Project Manager of the Year 2020 Winners

The nominees in the category of Project Manager of the 2020 were:

1. Katalin Borbényi from Hungary “Acquision of ERGO Insurance portfolio by Generali”
2. Noor Zulkifli Noor Ibrahim from Malaysia ”Rapid steam cracker complex (SCC) Project”
3. Simon Kirkpatrick from Australia “Australia’s first Motorcycle Traffic Response Unit (MTRU)”.

The Judges have decided to award the Bronze award to Katalin Borbényi. The Judges were impressed with Katalin’s focus on people as crucial for project success and the way she managed the project with creativity, vigor and an open mind to all parties involved.

The Silver award goes to: Simon Kirkpatrick. The Judges were particularly impressed by his strategic development of client relationships in the project, that created opportunities for growth and maintained stakeholder engagement with government and regulators, whilst achieving annual cost savings and 98% staff retention rate.

And  the Gold award goes to Noor Zulkifli Noor Ibrahim. The Judges were impressed by his innovative and exemplary leadership that helped to transform challenges into opportunities in an unprecedented complex project to overcome significant schedule delays and workplace safety issues.
