On the 2nd time in a row the most important event – IPMA Global Virtual Ceremony was organised in a hybrid format. On 22 September 2021 IPMA recognized excellent project management achievements realized by organizations, project management teams, Project Managers and researchers.
The Virtual Ceremony was part of the 32nd IPMA World Congress which gathered over 350 participants in St. Petersburg, Russia. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions there were only 40 foreign guests. The Gala Dinner was the highlight of the Congress. Alexandr Tovb – SOVNET President, IPMA Honorary Fellow, IPMA Advisory Committee Member and 32nd IPMA World Congress Organizing Committee Chairperson hosted Joop Schefferlie (IPMA President) on the stage.
The transmition was broadcasted from the studio in Warsaw, Poland. The ceremony was hosted by Anna Butrym and Maciej Kautz, professional presenters and Pau Lian Staal-Ong – IPMA Global Awards Coordinator.
There was an online connection with Martin Sedlmayer – IPMA Vice President for MarComm & Events & Awards who thanked the numerous volunteers involved in the evaluation of the application and, of course, the Awards applicants.
During the Ceremony, the awards were presented in 10 subcategories from the Research, Individual and Project Excellence Awards. The official results with detailed information about the Finalists are published in the news.
