As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of IPMA, the world’s oldest professional association for project management, we are pleased to introduce a new category within the Individual Awards and Project Excellence Awards segment. The year 2025 brings an exciting new innovation – the IPMA PMO Award, which will be presented in two categories.
This prestigious award recognizes the positive contributions of PMOs to their organizations, their ability to deliver consistent and demonstrable outcomes, and their role in the development of project management capabilities and communities. The award is open to PMOs at the portfolio/enterprise, program, or project level, as well as to individual Heads of PMOs.
The focus of the PMO Award is on tangible outcomes, so it does not encompass the development phase of a PMO. If your company is involved in the development of a PMO, we encourage you to submit your application under the Small/Medium-sized Projects, Organisational Change category, following the Individual Assessment process.

The application Form will include an explanation for each criterion and sub-criterion and space for attaching relevant documents.
Key Dates for Awards Applications in 2025:
Assessors’ decision notifications will be sent by July 8th, 2025.
The awards will be celebrated at the 34th IPMA World Congress in Berlin, Germany, on September 19th, 2025.
