Announced the First Finalist of the IPMA Global Project Excellence Awards for Small-/Medium-Sized Projects

The IPMA is delighted to disclose the first finalist of the IPMA Global Project Excellence Awards for Small-/Medium-Sized Projects.

The IPMA PE Awards for Small-/Medium-sized Projects recognize teams that display and prove outstanding achievements in project and programme management. Applicants competing in this category are individually assessed by qualified international assessors based on an application report. This year, over 30 assessors from 18 different countries were involved in the assessment process.

The first category we are proudly presenting is the Small-/Medium-Sized Projects in the subcategory Social/Regional Development/Community Service.

The finalist of this category is the project named Social and Economic Regeneration in AlUla’s Cultural Oasis and Arts District, submitted by the Royal Commission for AlUla from Saudi Arabia.

Inspired by Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the Royal Commission for AlUla is mandated to build a modern city with a vibrant society while conserving cultural heritage. As part of this vision, the project transforms the historic AlUla Old School into a dynamic Arts, Crafts, and Design Centre and revitalizes part of the local oasis into Daimumah Cultural Park.

Congratulations to the finalist!

The final rankings— Gold, Silver, Bronze—will be announced at the IPMA Global Awards Gala Ceremony on November 29, 2024, in Cape Town, South Africa.
The IPMA Awards Gala will be the closing event of this year’s 33rd IPMA World Congress, with the promising title “HOPE”.
